About Silver Hills Assisted Living
Silver Hills was awarded Home of the Year by the Texas Organization of Residential Care Homes.
At Silver Hills Assisted Living you can be certain that your loved one will be given personal care and attention, as well as the chance to live out their lives with the least restrictive environment possible. Situated on 5.5 acres, residents enjoy a country atmosphere, with exotic deer and peafowl, and a large greenhouse for plant lovers.
Silver Hills provides assistance, from minimal to total care, with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and incontinence care. Dementia and Alzheimer’s residents are welcomed. Shared rooms and private rooms are available.
Ultrasounds, EKG, X-Rays, and lab can be done at Silver Hills, as well as physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy through Home Health agencies. A physician or a nurse practitioner visits to check on the residents’ well being.
Silver Hills is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. License numbers 0886, 103298, and 100293, to operate 3 homes; two 16-bed type B and one 14-Bed type A.
These homes are owned and operated by Jane and Karl Johnson. Jane is an RN with many years of experience in cardiac, ICU emergency and geriatric care. They have been offering care to residents since 1994.
Jane Johnson RN BSN
Jane is an RN BSN who graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1973. Working in the ER of Conroe Regional Medical Center she witnessed many seniors coming in, in need of assistance. She felt called by God to provide something better, and in 1994 opened a residential care home. This humble beginning was the start of Silver Hills, which is now state licensed for 46 beds. Jane oversees all of the residents at Silver Hills.
Karl Johnson
In 1971 Karl graduated from The Culinary Institute of America, formally of New Haven, Conneticut, and now located in Hyde Park, New York. Karl advises on menu planning, meal preparation, and oversees all maintenance at Silver Hills.
