We are able to provide care to ambulatory as well as non-ambulatory residents. All levels of care are provided, from minimal to total care. Residents are allowed to age-in-place so that their caregivers and surroundings remain constant.

Exotic deer, peafowl, dogs, cats and birds all share our property. We encourage interaction with nature and animals.

Silver Hills Assisted Living is owned and operated by Jane and Karl Johnson. Jane is a Registered Nurse with many years of experience in critical, emergency and geriatric care. This home has been offering care to residents since 1994.

Monthly fees cover all assistance (from minimal to total care) with activities of daily living, supervision or administration of medication, three meals a day and snacks, daily laundry, incontinence care and all linens and furnishings. The residentis responsible for the cost of medications, toiletries, and incontinence supplies.

The Visiting Physician Association (VPA) provides a Physician visit every 2 months, and as necessary.  No more long waits in a physician waiting room.  Labs, X-Rays, Ultrasounds, EKG can be performed at Silver Hills with a physician order.  With a doctor's order, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy can help the resident recovering from a stroke, a fall or surgery.

Jane & Karl Johnson are members of the Texas Organization of Residential Care Homes (TORCH).  TORCH is an organization of owners of assisted living / residential care homes in Texas, representing almost 2000 residents. The Texas Organization of Residential Care Homes awarded Silver Hills the Home of the Year 2004 at the TORCH annual conference in San Antonio 2004.

Jane was also presented with the President's Award 2004.

September 2007, a new 16 bed Type B facility complete with private living areas with a kitchenette, large handicap accessible baths, more private rooms, beauty shop, activity center, health center, movie room, library, and a large wrap-around deck for outside enjoyment. All bedrooms have individual air controls. Furnishings provided. Taking deposits now. Rooms will be available in our other 2 homes. Come in for a tour and a choice of your room! All levels of care offered at Silver Hills.

Monthly rates over all services. The cost of incontinence supplies, toiletries, and medications are the responsibility of the resident. Rates are $2500 for a shared room and $3000 for a private room. Discounts for couples.
